May 23 – Late Posting
I was at my site when I got a call from my Bro, he wanted to go to College and pay the fees and get his admission done.
Jain College ( VV Puram ) here the management wanted the students to come with an elders to confirm the admission and pay the fees, I guess coz the decision taken here cannot be changed ( on the course and subjects ) and they dont want the students to carry such an amount alone.
When I reached office, I saw Darshan looking very ill, he complained of a severe head ache and his eyes were burning red. I told we could do this monday but he wanted to finish it today itself.
We went to the College and got the admission done, chose the combination and the language subject, we not had to pay the fees.
He still looked very ill, so I told him to be seated and wait while I finish the formalities and get the Fees part done.
After some time he got up from the chair and walked towards me, he was closing his eyes, just like to wake a kid from deep sleep. I asked him “ Chakkar Airiyo hein kai?” in marwadi “ Are you feeling Dissy?” he just nodded and hugged me.
The Next moment his frail body became too heavy. I was struggling to hold him, his body was slipping – it was only then I released that he fainted.
I struggled to hold him, he was falling, I called for some water, the College Authorities gave me some, I sprinkled few on face and still there was no sighs of consciousness. The second splash of water brought him back.
He was seated in a chair and so weak that he could not even stand up. All this happened in the Jain College and many parents who had come there for admission for their kids were assuming that he fainted for not getting an admission.
After a 5 min break, he clinged on to me and we went to the car, I got him a Lime Juice, a Samosa Burger and some fruits ( these was what available at that time)
He wanted to go home and take rest as he was feeling a lil ok, but I insisted that we visit the Doc and took him to Ram Krishna Nursing Home. I was asked to take a membership while the Doc came, I refused.
I said I will do that but let the Doc see the patient first, after that there is lot of time to register and take the card.
The Doc said that it was weakness as my bro revealed that he had little from morning and was suffering from fever. He also directed to have a blood test as he feared it may be flu
We got the tables, had a Mausambi juice and dropped him at Srinivas Nagar Home.
When I recollect the moment he came walking to me and collapsed in my arms, I have to agree that I was in a state of shock and did not know what to do or how to react. I have never seen a person faint in my life.
However hope he gets well soon.
